East Devon District Council invest in quality bins

25th March 2007

East Devon District Council has invested in some high quality ButtGum bins after trialling another brand of litter bin.

East Devon District Council"East Devon District Council is busy planning for the onset of the Smoking Ban in England on 1 July. The Council trialled another brand of butt and gum bin, but we were impressed with the quality and robustness of the ButtGum Wall Bin and have now ordered. We particularly like the advertising panel on the front of the bin, which will be a useful space for our publicity campaigns."

And we agree! Our bins are robust and offer supreme quality in comparison to other litter bins. The advertising panels do offer the unique opportunity to communicate key messages to smokers during the run-up to the smoking ban.

Director of ncbg, Jim Sullivan commented, "We sell direct to the end user - there is no China Chain of distributors' profits and therefore we provide very competitive prices with the smallest of carbon footprints whilst fully respecting human rights and the health and safety of our workforce."

We offer the very best life cycle value, which we think is unrivalled value in the market. Reinstating the fabric of buildings and replacing facilities that have failed in service has a huge cost and workload burden, far outwieghing any small gain in price over value engineered products. "

Hereford & Worcester BBC Radio

The arrival of the Intelligent Multi Litter Bin was aired on Hereford and Worcester Radio, which stirred quite an interest and sent website hits soaring! Following the No Cig Butts or Gum spot on the radio many people downloaded the Multi Litter Bin PDF.

During the Herefordshire Council conference, the Intelligent Multi Litter Bin met with approval and enthusiasm from key stakeholders within the Environmental departments, as well as the providers of services to Herefordshire Council.

On the day we received many orders for Butt Gum Bins from local businesses who needed a more reliable and longer lasting solution for cigarettes and chewing gum.

Bobbie Hadley (Strategic Development Manager at Herefordshire Council) has done a very professional and dynamic job in bringing the current and future issues of litter management to the fore, and forging partnerships with local businesses with the aim of jointly cracking the ever-increasing litter problems in our cities.
